The hotel is conveniently located. It's next to hilton resort and from the balcony u can experience the fireworks they do every evening. Before reserving , do confirm if u want the full ocean view or partial. Overall, a nice nice to stay.

Very old hotel.. even though the maid did her job well, the hotel still wasn't clean. It needs severe renovation. Parking was unreasonably e,pensive, $28 a day and you have to give yhem tips each time you pick up the car. Make sure you book an ocean view room, it is well worth the extra cost. The balcony is a good size and the changing view and surrounding activities provides wonderful entertainment. This hotel has a great atmosphere and history. It is conveniently located near shopping outlets and restaurants. We would definitely stay at the Ilikai again!

Very happy with the hotel and room but the beds were of poor quality and required replacement. Retail stores on ground floor requires upgrading compared to other hotels nearby.

Overall a good experience. Food at the restaurant wasn't that special and no breakfast in bed was available. But hotel was good price and good location between Ala Moana and Waikki

Second time stay in less than a year. We love it here - close to everything. And on the 'edge' of Waikiki, so very easy to jump in our car and head off to Honolulu or the North Shore. We'll be back.

It was nice. Got bad sunburn so couldn't do a lot. Hotel provided what we needed including a free use of beach chairs, towels and a wheelchair for me when my feet were so badly burned that I couldn't walk much. Staff were gracious and our concierage, Reggie was the best ever.

Spacious rooms with excellent ocean view. Bathrooms could use updating but room furnishings had been recently refurbished. Good housekeeping. Friendly and efficient staff. Great bar/cafe on the main floor. Close to lots of restaurants. A great facility for the price.

I loved this hotel. I had an ocean view room facing the Ala Moana side. Loved the view. It was also very close to Ala Moana shopping centre. 5-10mins walk. The room was absolutely clean and comfortable! I would definitely stay again!

While this hotel is somewhat of a throwback, it makes up for it's slightly dated appearance with it's character, it's comfort, it's view, and it's service. I loved my stay there, and i WILL be back. Thank you.

Nice hotel to stay at overall. Not the centre of Waikiki, 5 Minutes walk to main strip of Waikiki. 10 minutes walk to ala mona shopping centre. Trolley stop right in front of hotel for people the lazy. My wife and I we walked everywhere, for the simply fact that convenient makes you fat if all you do on holiday is eat and sleep. I lost a kilo during […] my 8 day stay 5 days of following the wife around shopping and 3 days of island tours. The hotel did need some touch ups in the hallways but hey I'm didn't book to stay in the hallway and the fixture if the room were old but no big deal avg only spent 5-6 hrs sleeping them off we go again for shopping again and again btw we didn't get a minute of sun on the beach so guys if your staying a short time with your partners not expect to by laying around doing nothing. We choose to stay at outside ofWaikiki maint strip because of reviews from others who stay on main strip complaint of noise at night which I didn't understand till I notice all the bars retailer restaurant are concentrated on it. Most shopping centres close earliest 9pm but most close after midnight and still streaming with holiday makers around midnight needless to say I'm glad I'm stayed at ilikai for some peace and quite not reconmend for ladies not staying with blokes if your walking back to hotel late. Awesome service, very clean, large room, but older hotel. Good value for your dollar, beautiful scenery, other than the homeless people sleeping on bus benches, and begging for money. Not hotels fault. Would definitely stay there again!!!

While this is obviously an older but renovated luxury property, our stay was very enjoyable. We could have paid more and not received any greater benefit. Great location.

The hotel is older and not right on the beach as stated. It is the farthest away from Wakkii and the Stip. And the Beach is not right in front. Dining facilities in the hotel can be further improved. Assistance from bellboys took about 15-20 minutes, valet people are the first people to greet you but can't do much.

Great rooms: spacious and nice decor. Huge bathroom. The only two negatives is that the hotel is still a fair walk to the shops of Waikiki and that the hotel has virtually no facilities (e.g. restaurant, swimming pools). It's just the rooms.

Loved the location ! Out of the hustle and bustle of the major part of Waikiki, but yet close enough to get to all the action. There is a beautiful walkway along the beach to get amongst the other hotels. Ilikai has a lovely deck area that overlooks the marina adding to the restful feeling of the area. It needs an update...the public areas look great but the rooms need some remodel and clean the corners a little better. The staff at the front desk were great and always helpful. I liked the beach towels and beach chairs that were available to guests.

View is lovely, staff are professional but friendly. Enjoy the easy walk to Ala Moana park & shopping center. Also enjoy the beach walk to Waikiki. Since we arrived the problem was finding a valet, we had to carry our bags upstairs because there was a Big Sign in the Electric Stairs No bags allowed, we tried to check in, but they gave us our room until 3pm (It was 8am) It was 30 minutes until we found the Valet to keep our bags until 3pm, and he was not friendly, looked like he was doing us a favor. the chair and bedding smelled like sweaty people had been lying on it. my airconditioning unit dripped on the ground constantly. the room just had a foul odor to it. It seemed to be more for an older crowd 50 years and older. Very small pool area with not enough lounge chairs. Had to always wait for a chair.

We didn't expect much but we didn't expect a very dusty room and bathroom with moldy tile and shower. We had to perform our own plumbing to turn off the bathtub faucet and the service from personnel was the worst we had in Hawaii. We were talked into "upgrading" to an ocean front room that was really a city front room with only a view of the ocean from […] one end of the lanai. When I opened the shower door I got some silver goo all over my hand that wouldn't come off till the third good scrubbing. The concierge almost always had the "be back in 5 minutes" sign up and when they came back we waited for 40 minutes before giving up. The lobby decor was nice but the rooms were a flash back to the golden girls era with dust all over the floor boards and all over the bathroom doors. The hotel is located near Waikiki Beach and many shops. The reason I didn't rate the hotel higher is because the shower is a little run down and has a shower curtain, no tub and the water pressure was weak. This hotel has a great location, but is showing it's age. The pool is very small and the amenities are sparse compared to other hotels in Waikiki. The positives are it's location to the beach, lagoon, and Ala Moana. Walking along the beach gives great access to all the hotels, and puts you in easy reach of International Marketplace.

We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view. The room was spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen and wall to ceiling window for the entire wall facing the ocean -- lovely balcony. The only minor issue was waiting for the bellman with our luggage when we left -- but that was a minor issue. Over all we loved our stay at the Ilikai.
