The first night upon arriving there was a dirty washcloth on the bathroom floor the maid had missed when cleaning the room. That night the people in the hotel were very loud and the hotel staff let the yelling from the drunk people go on for a long time before finally kicking the people out. The maids do not knock on the door before entering to clean […] the room so make sure you hang the do not disturb sign or they will just walk right in on you. The rest of our stay was not bad. I was in visalia to take an engineering licensing exam. It turned out to be a great choice for my test at the convention center. It was right at the convention center; no walking or crossin the street. I was able to relax and get good rest at this excellent hotel.

Staff (Front Desk and Bell Service) were very helpful and quick to respond. There is a UPS Store 100 yds away making it easy to ship out trade show materials after the show and great restaurants withn 2-4 blocks.

I stayed at this Marriott on two different occasions and the condition of their rooms and service have been consistent every time. The staff are welcoming and the rooms are really clean, which are two things that are really important to me. I love that they have refrigerators in the rooms! When plans to getaway for a three day weekend fell through - we opted to just spend a night at our local hotel. It worked beautifully. Nightlife near by was walkiing distance as were the restaurants and every thing we needed.

Everything was wonderful except a particular waitress. She was extremely unprofessional and ignored our table. The fact that we had a hungry 3 year old and got ignored was extremely upsetting, she was way more interested in flirting than taking our order. We couldn't park because there was a party in the next building and we had to go out of our way to find parking. Then we booked a room for 4, and we got a room with a King bed (seriously?) We left to our room and about an hour later we got a call that they had clean a room with two queens. The room was a relief, but the soaps in the shower were used and there were couple pieces of paper in the room floor. Who goes to Visalia right? At least not for fun... but in my case, I was there for my niece's graduation in Exeter, so Visalia is the closest thing to civilization in that area. I have reserved a room with 2 beds as I have kids. When I arrived late, we had been sent to a room with a bed. When I called, found that the hotel is fully booked, a rollover bed was sent that was awful. No one was able to sleep on that bed. The first look of the hotel was nice. The size of room was reasonable. Even there was a chocolate nearby the bed, I just assumed that the cleaning lady couldn't see it. I requested a room with a king bed when I made my reservation but was told when I arrived that only rooms with double beds were available. There was inadequate parking because much of the lot was reserved for an event taking place at the adjacent convention center. I've stayed here before, but I was very disappointed this time. Three adults had to share two ~very small~ double beds. The description of the room that I booked said it had three beds. I certainly wouldn't have booked this room if I'd known how small the beds were.
