Soujourner Inn and Extended Suites - Гротон

Room was very outdated, old nasty furniture, the carpet stunk, wall paper was coming off the walls. All of there rooms are suites but there is no A/C in the living area, only the bedroom. There are two TV's but only one remote! Overpriced, don't stay here!

This is labled as soujourner on this site but it is really an econo lodge. I had trouble finding it because of this. There was gum left on the headboard there were not kitchen utensils as it advertised and we were only given enough towels for one person when the room was for two people and we were told we couldn't have any more.

the tv in the bedroom did not work. the Heater was LOUD, LOUD, LOUD so sleep was scarce. our door did not close without us having to deliberately close it. we had to CONTINUALLY request items, such as towels, sheets, blankets, as there were not enough supplied for the 4 people in the room. The freezer was leaking all down the back of the inside of the […] fridge. the 'suite' is really not a suite at all... granted there is plenty of room, but the stove top is virtually unusable, and there was not microwave provided as originally told when I made my reservation. Would NEVER go back here. I paid $149 (before taxes) and that was an OVERPAYMENT of about $100. Very disappointing stay. Подробнее

The room was overpriced. The furnishings were old and tattered and there was an obvious water damaged ceiling tile with mold. The sheets had water/rust stains. We were only staying the night, but if I were staying longer I would have been dissatified overall.

-the entire hotel smells like mold, right when you walk in -the hallways are freezing -their idea of a pull out couch is two chairs, one of our third party guests had to sleep on the floor -the lights in our bathroom were exposed and moldy -the staff were visibly rude and short with questions -NO CABLE -extremely old applicances in rooms

Aside from the lady at the desk not really understanding English, my issue was the fact that I prepaid for the room in advance, yet when I checked in after midnight, the heat was never turned on and it was below zero with the wind chill outside. It took most of the night to bring the room up to 70 degrees and I had to sleep with all of my clothes on, […] including my jacket. This is our second time staying here. Check in and check out clerk were both friendly. Reasonable rates, nothing fancy but a nice hotel. Great for an overnight stay near the casinos.

Room was fine but cold when you arrive. Need to turn on heat and leave for awhile so room heats up. Otherwise not bad for the price.

The lobby and our room was clean, the halls and elevator are older it was a nice room and a great value. We booked this place to lay over one night on the weekend because of a long drive. We were not disturbed by other quest.

The place was party central.. I purposely called hotel.com because they don't have a check box for handicap rooms on line under the preferences. I asked for a handicap room and we were not booked for one.. All the employees there do not speak English well and they are hard to understand and they don't understand you either.. Their free breakfast was […] a joke and the cereal they did offer was stale... The rooms were spacious but not well maintained at all... There definition of handicap accessible rooms are no where close for a person who is wheelchair bound!! The bathroom was the worse handicapped equipped I have ever seen... Guest were extremely loud and obnoxious for which the managers were afraid to go ask them to take their partying out of the parking lot. So 12 am and 2am I had to go outside and ask them to knock it off and be considerate of the other guest and I am a lower leg double amputee who is wheelchair bound.. Подробнее

The staff were friendly, the room was like a suite, with easy chairs and tv. Small kitchen was fine, though dated. Continental breakfast was poor - bagels, white bread, juice and some cereal - no tables for eating breakfast. Lobby area smelled a little moldy. Would stay here again for a brief overnight en route to Cape Cod.

The rooms were good sized, but dated. The halls smelled of what we think was cigarette smoke. The vending machines did not work well & the staff knew, but failed to put signs warning customers of losing their money. It worked for what we needed... had a mini fridge & antique microwave. Wrong room, had to change room due to air conditioner not working. Not enough pillows, blankets and sheets and it became a big deal to get more pillows. Many weird noises from the refrigerator and air conditioner. Last but not least , last night there the air conditioner broke down again, awful night sleep !!

Needs TLC or a re-do. AC having problems, needs maintanence for looks and performance. Breakfeast bare min - all prepackaged. Outside needs attention. Manager and staff doing their best w/ what they have. Needs advertising and promo to get more attendence. Could use some vending machines.

Stayed here for 1 night because it was a cheaper alternative than staying at the casinos. Distance is about 15 mins away. Room itself was pretty big. Clean and comfortable. Not much in the area. Few fast food places, but all close very early so nothing for late night. Overall, a pretty decent stay for the price.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. Though it is an older hotel, it's very clean even though the furniture is a little "worn". The location was great - just 15 to 20 minutes to all of the casinos. Plenty of places to eat close by, and even a shopping mall w/ a Kohl's store within a few miles. We have stayed here before and this time we happy to be at the back side of the hotel, which was quiet and looked out on a green landscape. The room was comfy and casual, nothing fancy, and the beds were very comfortable. We are very sensitive to noise, and could hear the plumbing noises from several nearby bathrooms, and the A/C around us, but otherwise […] it was quiet. Breakfast options were Fruit Loops and Raisin Bran - not too thrilling. But the staff were friendly, and the location was great - 10 minutes from Mystic Seaport through Old Mystic on back roads. Over all the stay @ Econolodge was satisfactory. It was easy to find, Was set back on the road so it was very quiet. The hallways were extremely warm, but the AC in the room worked. The breakfast was not good. We didn't even eat anything. The room rate was cheap so WE GOT OUR BREAKFAST ELSEWHERE. i WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

I was disappointed that when I arrived they did not have my confirmation. Had to call Hotel.com and on phone for about 30minutes before resolved. There was only 1 iron in the whole place and was told I had to wait at least an hour for them to find it. Would not be going back to this hotel.

We checked in just before midnight. The overnight front office associate never got up from his seat. On our way in, we had noticed a party on the second floor above the main entrance. The window was open & you could hear music. We asked if we could have a room as far as possible from that party. He said they were sold out, but our room was not close […] to that party & the party was wrapping at mindnight. Our room was right next door to the party, and although the music may have stopped around midnight, the in and out of rooms went on all night. We did not sleep. We told the a.m. fron office associate, but she offered nothing helpful. Consequently, the morning associate did not get up from her chair either, which i fiind to be an odd practice for customer service. The hotel itself had an aweful odor to it. The rooms smelled bad. I wish I could go back in time and had not stayed there. Live and learn I guess.

Good for overnight stay to go to Foxwoods. About 15 minutes from Foxwoods. Room was large and very inexpensive. Staff was friendly. Good if you are looking for basic overnight accomodations

This hotel was good for one night. The refridgerator was a plus. The old dengy decor in the livingroom suite did not make for a welcoming effect but over-all it was ok for a one night event at the Foxwoods and then to resp up on the clean white sheets before driving back to Central NJ.
