Отель Британия расположен недалеко от ж.д. вокзала и всех достопримечательностей города.

Имейте в виду, что в некоторых номерах нет окон, кондиционеры практически бесполезны, а персонал совершенно бесполезный.

Любому, кто останавливается здесь, стоит избегать карцероподобного номера без окон. Нам попался как раз такой, настолько провонявший дымом (я не курю), что после длительной беседы на ресепшене нас наконец-то переселили в нормальный номер с окном. Я не мог находится в первом номере - уж лучше спать в машине.

Регистрации нам пришлось ждать около 25 минут. Нам дали номер на верхнем этаже без окон. Ужасная вентиляция, особенно в жаркие дни.

Самое большое достоинство отеля - его расположение. Несколько минут пешком до главного вокзала, большой станции автобусов и гей-квартала. Отель немного потертый, но очень удобный и у него приветливый персона. Бесплатный wifi в номерах всегда хорошо работал. Мое единственное маленькое замечание касается того, что по выходным на улице шумят подвыпившие […] компании, а в номере нет кондиционера, из-за чего приходится на ночь открывать окна. Отличное расположение, красивое здание, но в моем одноместном номере не было окон. Кондиционер очень шумел, поэтому проветрит номер было невозможно. Рекомендую этот отель, если вам удастся получить номер с окном.

Паршивый душ, кондиционер в самую жаркую ночь в Манчестере не работал. Обслуживание было великолепным, а персонал в баре - потрясающим.

Меня разочаровал номер, т.к. в нем не было горячей воды. Оконная рама подгнила, и я занозил об нее руку.

Filthy rooms, things under the bed and an uncaring management leads to a terrible service. Need a room keycard? Hassle. Something wrong with the room? Hassle. The evening and night shift are excellent and do their best but the day shift is to be avoided. Just suffer in silence, most do. The location is great and it's clean but! The bathrooms are very tired the tv and remote didn't work, the staff were not interested.

the hotel is perfectly located five mins from city centre, everything you could need was nearby. the hotel its self was run down, needs a new look. the room was fine with all the basics. the hairdryer did not work, the fan in the bathroom did not work. we paid for a room with a window and got a room with a skylite, this might be ok for a one night stay […] but we were there for four nights and the room got quite hot. the room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels and linen were provided. a little over priced per person per night, but overall not a bad choice of hotel for a city centre. Everything was wonderful, but the room was very warm. No air flow. But other than that it was just fine.

The location is great, and the whole building looks fine, but the service and quality of the room are absolute terrible. The bathroom was leaking while taking a show.

excellent hotel with wonderful decor. A bit like being on the Titanic!

Good value for money. Only downside was a windowless room which was very claustrophobic.

It seems that this hotel was built a long time ago and we were stayed in a room without window! But the price is low according to its location. Anyway, it is very convenient to go to city center and shopping mall.

The hotel is very convenient for business. Everyone is very helpful and friendly but the hotel clearly needs updating in some areas. Although perhaps unimportant the television set is very poor quality, a throwback to the nineties that desperately needs updating especially if you are only in Manchester briefly and have no time/ do not wish to sample […] its other attractions. Most Britannia hotels are old but location is excellent (city center). It´s a good hotel for crashing one night.

Hotel had a great location but in need of a face lift, everything a little dated! Also the wifi connection didn't work on the top floor.

Would highkly recommend! Ignore weirdoes slating this place, for the price it's tip-top

An easy walk from the train station (Picadilly). Not cheap but maybe because it was Easter. Breakfast not included. I had a decent quiet room and the wireless internet worked fine. I would have given a higher rating if breakfast had been included.

Excellent location in the city center, close to every attraction, especially Canal Street for the nightlife and the picadilly station for the airport train (5mn walk)

The Brittania in Manchester is great in terms of location as it's slap bang in the city centre, close to many transport routes, shops and nightlife. Our room was very comfortable for two nights, including lounging around in for an afternoon, and the free Wifi is a definite bonus. While this is obviously a little shabby chic and a true bastion of faded glory, I was pleasantly surprised by not only the fact the room was clean and well appointed but that the location was so good. Really nice hotel if you are on a budget.

Great location but the hotel needs a revamp

Ideal for short business visit or for shoping-Arndale centre only walking distance.Rooms very adeqate even economy, staff very helpful indeed, printed a location map of our business contact. In house food was excellent ,restaurant,lounge,& bar. Will use again without hesitation.

Have now stayed at this hotel twice and purely for its location. You couldnt get a better one in Manchester. The staff have on both occassions been friendly enough and helpful. The rates are always good, but the parking does cost a little if you travel by car, but one offsets the other. Location was excellent, just around the corner from all the busses and tram line (Picadilly). Did not eat in the hotel - room only rate had breakfast out - very cheap from £4 up. Tourist information very near very helpful there. Had a problem with heating in the room which was not fixed when requested.

Is very close to shops and town centre. The decor is dated but if you need it just for a bed I would definatly recomend it. Good price and nice hotel.

The Britannia is an older hotel but one with some class. IT is conveniently located to downtown and within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants. The rooms do need some updating and some new carpet. The bed was a bit firm but overall it was reasonable for the price. Would stay again if I was in Manchester. Near the train station, bus stops and 1 or 2 block away from China Town. The hotel needs some upgrading, particularly the carpets in the hallways. The room itself is mostly clean.
