Были в отеле с маленькими детьми одну ночь, в отдельном 3-4-местном номере с санузлом. Очень уютный и живописный хостел с приятным персоналом. Находится на склоне горы. Потрясающие виды на город. Есть крохотный бассейн. Завтрак нам очень понравился. Не слишком обильный, но вкусный шведский стол. Белье чистое хлопковое. Старый, но эффективный кондиционер. Вай-фай хорошо работает, но только в холле у ресепшн. Единственный минус для семей с маленькими детьми - обилие ступенек, можно навернуться.

Отель оставил о себе крайне приятное впечатление. Расположен в 1 минуте ходьбы от пляжа, вкусный разнообразный завтрак - шведский стол, приветливый англоговорящий персонал, на 18 этаже прекрасная смотровая площадка с небольшим бассейном. Номер убирали регулярно, ничего ни у кого не пропало. Но самое приятное - это адекватная цена!Если бы ехала еще раз, выбрала бы именно этот отель.

Общая оценка - четыре с минусом. Но за невысокую цену и географию это вполне можно простить. Отель идеально подойдет тем, кто едет в Рио не за пляжами и шиком, а за атмосферой старого города. В отличие от района Копакобаны, здесь можно бродить часами просто рассматривая улицы и здания. Здесь все знают друг друга в лицо и день на четвертый вы начнете здороваться с официантами, собачниками и продавцами. Даже бомжи выглядят прилично - судя по всему, стригутся в соседней парикмахерской и стирают свои вещи в прачечной на Руа да Лапа. В квартале очень мало туристов, местные ресторанчики ориентированы на своих соседей, поэтому заранее учите португальский. В пятницу вечером вы однозначно будете рады, что живете именно здесь, при условии, что ваши окна выходят во двор. Тусовка начинается прямо возле вашей двери и продолжается на много кварталов вокруг.

Основной плюс - близкое расположение к пляжу, достопримечательностям и торговым центрам. хорошие 2 звезды.

"Amazing hotel but you do have to pay a premium"
It is a very historic hotel and is supposed to be among the best in South America, but this may not be to everyone's taste, as for all its granduer its does have some "old world" feel with its layout and decorations. For the price I paid, I could have stayed somewhere else and received the same level of service. "Wonderful Stay"
This is by far the best hotel in Rio. The staff are very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The concierges were extremely helpful. Restaurant service was great. the waiting staff were friendly and professional. Our room was spacious with a great view of the ocean. While some may complain about its location on Copacabana Beach rather than Ipanema, […] I think this was better as it was in the middle between the nightlife of Lapa (Rio Scenarium is a must) and the beach of Ipanema and Leblon. "O velho vai mudando a cara"
A mudança da direção pelo Orient Express já se nota e esse é o grande diferencial do vetusto hotel, classudo, todavia. Reformas são urgentes e necessárias. Pelo grau de conservação da parte antiga, o preço destoa, apesar do tratamento impecável de todos os funcionários, sem exceção. Ribeiro

Cafards dans la chambre, bruit atroce suite aux travaux du restaurant et malgré un personnel charmant, la direction de l'hotel est nulle. Très déçu! Plus jamais!

"Breve estada!"
Apesar de uma estada rápida podemos dizer que coisas boas e coisas menos agradáveis aconteceram. Recomendo o hotel, mas com ressalva. Cuidado com pessoas estranhas entrando no seu apartamento.

Um hotel lindo, patrimonio da humanidade, requinte. O servico eh magnifico e as pessoas treinadas. Meu unico problema como ja expliquei foi a piscina, uma preciosidade desta ser tao gelada que nao tive coragem de entrar pq o sol eh raro devido aos predios em volta e tem um jatinho de uma agua morna insuficiente p esquentar a imensidao desta piscina, […] tinha de ter um bom aquecimento solar, nao falo em a agua ficar quente pq isso nem eh legal, a gente toma banho p refrescar, mas quebrar o frio, ficar morninha.
