The superior room that we reserved was terrible air conditioned has no cool air,the carpet is dirty,no toothbrush ,the faucet is too old and the shower handle is like a toy very low presure of water. From Incheon airport there is a KAL Limousine bus right to the Koreana's door taking about 65 minutes at a cost of 15000 won. Alternatively and cheaper would be the metro with one change required from line 1 to 5. If you use Gimpo Airport then the Koreana is only 40 minutes away on Metro line 5 at a cost of about 1300 won, fantastic value at less than […] one GBP. We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful both with luggage assistance and safe deposit on our last day when we needed to leave valuables until our evening return flight. The aircon seemed a bit quirky with some of the settings driven by a button on the telephone. We never quite worked that out! There was the odd stain on the carpet (which can be expected anywhere) but otherwise the room was clean and tidy. The location was perfect: right in the centre of things. International restaurants of all kinds are just across the road in the basements of the Seoul Finance Centre tower, with more authentic Korean 'street' food available at the many small cafes in the block behind the Finance Centre - including barbecued Yakitori and the local Kimchi spiced vegetables. Apart from breakfast on one day we didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment with any detail. The only small criticism is that the continental breakfast was rather sparse with no coffee top ups and only one sachet of jam for the toast. Koreana management please note. Two night stay and luckily festival time in Korea with Foundation Day on Wednesday, so street displays and people parades etc. The trip to the DMZ was disapointing with very large crowds especially Chinese visitors who had switched their holiday from Japan to Korea due to the current dispute over the Islands.

Location is Ok but some walking distance to shopping centre,not much food stall around this place. No WiFi in the room, the Lan cable does not work, try several times to get IT help. Staff not very flexible in helping. The cafetaria on the groundfloor does not accept charges to the room, you need to pay separately.

We stayed in this Koreana Hotel from 31st Mar to 8th Apr 2012. We noticed that the carpet was very dirty and even when we made a specific request for the carpet to be vacuumed, it was done in a very minimum way as we noticed there are still biscuits crumps and hairs on the carpet. As this is our holiday, we usually sleep in the hotel till noon or even […] past noon time but we have never hear the cleaning staff use the vacuum cleaner for the other rooms. The carpet looks in a very worn out and dirty state. The bedsheets are clean and the room nicely tidied every day. The location of the hotel is situated in such a way that each time when the taxi brings us back to the hotel, it has to make a big U turn to get to this hotel. Watch out for the free bottle of water that this hotel gives. They only give ONE free bottle a day no matter how many people are using the room. Any additional bottle will cost KRW3,300. The staff at the check-in reception did not inform us of this and we only found out later when we saw the price on the price list that is placed above the mini bar. As I forget to bring my tooth brush, I had no choice but to use the one in the hotel. Although the price stated on the price list is KRW3,300. I was charged KRW6,600 for it. When I asked why I was charged double for this, the staff told me it is for TAX. I find it hard to believe that the tax on the toothbrush can be 100%. Подробнее

The front office staffs isn't that friendly in assisting enquiries especially the day before I check-out on the 09 Jan 2012 was told in a very rude and impolite manner when I requested for a slight late check out at around 1 to 2pm initially but the latter when I told the F.O Manager that I will email a letter of complaint to express my dissatisfaction […] during my stay, then he (Mr Seo) agreed with compliance to allow me to check out at 1pm. I am very unhappy about this particular incident and also when I wanted to settle my bill payment for any outstanding, I was treated like nobody or even a dirt. Thus I am really disappointed with their service utterly and I think even the Singapore service standards are even better off than them. This will be my first and last time staying there and I hope there should be more room for improvements in upgrading their employees for better service standards and should undertake more foreign language to tighten communication barrier. We came from Jeonju on the train and were able to take the subway to within two blocks of the hotel and we had 12 pieces of luggage between five people. The location and staff were great. The beds were the hardest and most uncomfortable beds that I can recall. The rooms are in need of an update, musty and old. I still marked recommend to a friend only due to the difference in rate from some of the other hotels that were available.

A great choice—it made my visit a joyful memory. It is an old hotel but has been well cared for and the housekeepers are proud of their efforts to keep it looking great. The location is outstanding! The Koreana's best features are that it's in a good location and that all the taxi drivers will know where it is. The furniture in the rooms is kinda old, but that's really the worst thing I can say.
