Good service! Was able to store my luggage for 8 days - for free - while hiking in the bush!! 2 min from Southern Cross Station and close to CBD and shops!!

The hotel is located a short walk along Spencer St from the Southern Cross Railway Station,which is where the excellent Skybus airport to city bus service arrives. We live in an outer Melbourne suburb and stayed in this hotel for one night only as we had a function to attend in the city. Very conveniently located.

Not bad for the price, very small rooms however. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

Just prior to our arrival at hotel my wife fell and cut her head badly, on explaining this to reception staff there was no offer of assistance and I was left to struggle with luggage while my wife was left unattended in the reception area with blood streaming down her face in full view of all and still no assistance. On requesting receptionist to phone […] a taxi to take us to hospital, we were told there was a taxi rank nearby and once more left us to our own devices.(we were four hours in the emergency department of the hospital and my wife had six stitches put in her head wound.) Tht online advert said the hotel was newly refurbished, not the area I was in it was very tired with threadbare carpets throught and the room walls and bathroom tiles would benefit from a good wash down with hot soapy water the spars on the table and chairs need dusting and the carpet at the side of the fridge could do with vacuuming. Hotel is fine, location great although a little old. My room backed onto the courtyard and was not impressed when other guests decided to gather there. The noise generated was disturbing, and the service desk did speak to them. Not good when you need to get up early. The air con was not effective, and after a couple of warm days, just couldn't seem […] to cope. The adjacent restuarant, although not part of the hotel was very poor on service and I would not recommend it. Dear future visitors to the Enterprize on Spencer, Melbourne. Just letting you know I found the room, staff and locality very suitable. My stay was comfortable and convenient to all transport and city amenities.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The staff decided to vacuum the corridors from 7am in the morning until check out. Not worth the money. Service is appalling.

Hotel is fairly old and looks a bit tired on arrival. However, our room on the fourth floor was in a new section and very good value for money. Strangely, no soap was provided but on enquiry at Reception we were given supplies of soap and champoo from stock they had at their disposal. This is a great spot to stay if you want to do anything at the Casino, Southbank, Docklands, Southern cross station DFO, Convention Centre or the Tram car restuarant becase all those places are walking distance from here. The room was covered with layer of dust as if no one stay for some time and room. wasn't clean before we checked in. Elevator has a stench, carpet is old and stained. the room smell of food as there is a restaurant below. and floor squeak.

Hotel is well appointed with large rooms. a large queen size bed each! A bit old fashioned as furnishings large dark wood but very adequate and exc. value

The service was really good, though the smell of the room was quite dissapointing. Yet, the hotel needs to be renovated a little bit. The location is really nice since it is opposite southern cross station.

This hotel is in serious need of an upgrade and the prices charged dont match the quality. We used the carp park for one night and paid upfront however was charged for the second night and spent 30 minutes trying to argue it even though we had no car parked in the car park on the second night. Location is perfect, across the road from southern cross station and walking distance to the crown. Hotel is a bit old, rooms arent all that modern and tv is a bit small but overall the beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious so thats a bonus.

friendly location to the City Centre with reasonable price.

I had a pleasant stay recently in the Hotel. The entry is substandard - but staff pleasant and helpful. Room was very clean and everything functioned well. The price reflects the premises and I would happily recommend the hotel to friends to stay on a budget in Melbourne. The parking was a bit steep at $25 - but comparable.

This hotel looks completely different in real life than it does online. The hotel is extremely dated and dirty......filthy. I asked to not stay there after looking at the room. I booked a discount rate for this hotel, not knowing I would end up in a courtyard room. Rooms that are attached to the normal hotel on the back side and give a Motel feeling. The furniture was worn down and worth to throw away. The tiles in the bathroom were partially broken, the shower hardly gave any water. Not only was the room really terrible to stay in, also the lobby and the entire hotel call for an overall make over. this hotel is tiny the staff are rude and dnt speak very well english ur not allowed guest and the tv reception is just crap i would only recomend this hotel if u only wanna sleep if u wanna go out on the town do not stay here

Hotel Enterprize may not be the Hilton, but it is a great value for money hotel with stellar service in a very convenient location. I will continue to stay here whenever I visit Melbourne and would recommend it to anyone else wanting bang for their buck.

we did not like the resturant on the premesis went elsewhere for breakfast otherwise a good place too stay

Easy access to southern cross station and all other public transport. Very quiet and comfortable room. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would stay at this hotel any time I need to travel to Melbourne

Great location....close to City Centre shops......close to Railway Station.......close to Footy Ground....close to Casino. We were able to park the car for our entire stay and walk everywhere. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to watch their budget, but still get a nice/clean room.

THE HOTEL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED IN CITY CENTER. BUILDING HAS AN OLD WORLD CHARM BUT ROOMS ARE TINY AND NOT WELL MAINTAINED. STAFF ARE NOT AS FRIENDLY AS PEOPLE OF MELBOURNE.

I find the location of the Hotel very handy in respect to the railway station and to general shopping which is only a few minutes away. It's my third stay there in 4 years, and look forward to going back there on each occasion. The Hotel is very clean, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Basic accommodation within walking distance to Crown Casino. Stayed in the deluxe double room on the 3rd floor. Clean, comfortable bed, plasma TV, with bath. Room was overlooking Flinders lane which was quieter than above Spencer street, which is noisy from trams/traffic. Dined at the Chinese restaurant on ground level which gave discount off meal, […] was good meal and not much walking. Foyer is dated but didn't care as weren't sleeping there, staff were mix of Eastern European or Chinese so were direct in responses. I recently stayed 3 nights at Hotel Enterprize but booked a 2 night stay then a 1 night stay. The first room was very 'tired' in the old section of the hotel although the main irritation was the tap that dripped all night long (true water torture). The last night was in the new section - what a difference. Clean and fresh and bright, new and modern […] - if only the website had given me a clue to the difference when booking!!! I enjoyed my stay ah the hotel altough I stayed in a courtyard room which was quite noisy it sounded like an air conditioner going all time and the one channel on the television did not have sound.

I stayed in two different rooms, cause I made two different bookings. One room the lights went dimmer a few times and the other the air con made noise every few hours...didnt really bother me though. The layout of the cheaper rooms is kind of amusing. Overall was a fine stay, staff were excellent.

Very old, not updated room with towel racks & toilet roll holders falling off. Convenient to Southern Cross station, but that's it..

Hotel ok for a budget hotel. Unfortunately we picked easter weekend melbourne decided to pull up the entire tramline outside the hotel. I realise this was out of control of hotel but as road works starte at night. I thought they should have notified us of this happening. Foyer was dirty and in urgent need of maintenance work.The rugson the floor and the faded lounges were not inviting at all.Staff were not very nice or helpful.The roadworks outside that kept us awake all night was painful.No we definately would not recommend this hotel to anybody and would not stay there again it ruined our easter.

Most of the staff were quite rude, when calling up reception, but in particular the house keeping staff, consistently knocking after we asked them to go away numerous times

stayed in a queen room which was nicely set up, but very dark with no windows. also very noisy. the large open-air corridors echo and the floors must be made of plywood as every footstep on the floor above will shake the ceilings. I wouldn't stay here again, mostly due to the noise.

Only stayed for one night, chose this hotel because of its proximity to Southern Cross transit station (less than 5 minute walk) and availability of luggage storage; staff were excellent, room was clean and basic (as expected since i chose a lower grade room), room could definitely use a decor update, but bed was comfy, and everything working as it […] should; a bit of traffic noise since my window backed onto street, but not loud enough to be a nuiscance. While the hotel is located on the outer edge of the main CBD, it's still comfortable walking distance to attractions, and 2 minutes to trams/trains if that's more your need. Room facing courtyard between floors. Room had a distincted smell similar to smoke mould open cupboard to get pillar anf there was a cockroach crawling there. Bed was comfiortable enough but floor coverings lood dirty.
