"Nice hotel in not-so-nice neighbourhood"
Отзыв пользователя Alex N из "Moscow" от 15 авг 2011We spent only 2 days in this hotel, though this was enough of a period to get an opinion about it. The hotel was surprisingly nice - the staff were friendly, the rooms were nice and cozy (the hotel recently underwent a renovation), breakfasts were good as well (nothing exceptional, but I'd definitely recommend them if you are planning to stay at this place). The surrounding neighbourhood is the only drawback to the otherwise pleasant experience - there is literally nothing interesting or worth noting around, and you will spend a good 15 minutes walking to the nearest train station to get to Manhattan (the hotel is "conveniently" situated right between two train stations). And when it comes to me I wouldn't be feeling very safe leaving the hotel at night, though it needs to be said that taxis are available from the stations and the hotel respectively. Overall I'd say it's a good place to stay if you are looking to visit your friends or relatives nearby, otherwise you'd better find something closer to the New York City center.

"Another outstanding Hampton Inn experience"
Hampton Inn continues to be one of my favorite hotels to stay at. They are always clean, comfortable, and they serve the best breakfast. The waffles alone make this place worth staying at. There were many positives, so keep it up! Some Negatives: 1) I asked the receptionist for toothpaste during the beginning of the check-in process, but she forgot to give it to me. After I asked again, she then gave the toothpaste to me. 2) There were no plastic bags in the trash bins in the room or the bathroom. I called the receptionist and she had […] someone bring up two EXTRA large trash bags (the ones you put in EXTRA large trash bins, not in small trash bins in the room and the bathroom). 3) Free TV channels did not work. --- Please train the staff to listen to the guest's requests carefully. We were very pleased as soon as we entered the hotel lobby. The staff was cordial, helpful, and efficient. Our room was very nice and we were comfortable. We really liked the fact that breakfast was included and the choices were great. It really saves time not having to drive around an unfamiliar area looking for breakfast before starting your day. Nice stay, only issues: the beds were a little hard, and bedding (duvet) a little over used, also, the cable did not work on most channels, for example, on CNN NBC and main channles, the cable would error and do the 'digital tiling' issue where the other channels would work. "As always a great stay"
I've stayed here a dozen times & every time is great. The rooms are clean & staff are friendly. The only thing was that a very loud couple walking the hall talking @ 3:45am when I was trying to go to sleep but not hotels fault. We didn't make breakfast but times before have been great. Room was small and dark, and the furniture looked dirty. They are in the middle of renovations so hopefully the rooms will be part of the update. I ended up moving to a different hotel. "Everything we needed..."
Very nice hotel. Staff were great, friendly and efficient. We were 2 adults and 3 children in one room so we needed extra towels and pillows, called the front desk and had them in 5 minutes! We checked in late, so this accommadation was at 10pm! Breakfast was good, pool was nice and well maintained, room was clean but a little on the small side for […] a King suite (which is the only reaon I gave comfort of the room a 4). Our stay at the Hampton Inn was exceedingly pleasant. We were visiting friends in the area, and the Inn was a convenient place to recharge ourselves between outings. Hampton Inn is conveniently located to where we needed to be. Easy to reach. Hotel is clean and quiet. Only drawback is the noisy a/c heater unit. Upon arrival I had to wait for a clerk to check me in. No one was at the ready to do it. I presented my credit card for ID and it was immediately swipped without asking even though my room was pre paid so when I asked why I was told it was for incidentals. No mini bar in the room, no Resturant open so what incidentals? At the small convience shop by […] the front desk? I got to the room which looked adequate for a night and found when I tried to turn the TV obit did not work. After some jiggling of wires we got it working. The bed creaked when you moved and you could hear noise from room to room clearly. I heard the bed creaking from the room next door. There was some sort of wrapper on the carpet between the bed and end table. Bed was comfortable if noisy. A bug dropped out of the window shade onto the window sill when I pulled it down. It was old and dead. The shower was good but could have ran hotter. I slept a few hours. I did not use the breakfast. I did have a cup of the coffee in the lobby and it was very good. Stayed here for a weekend trip to Fire Island, NY. The hotel is gorgeous and its amenities are very convenient. The staff was extremely helpful and exemplified excellent customer service. "Very nice place."
Clean, great breakfast, quiet excellent location. The bed covers were lumpy and need to be replaced. Movie selection was limited and that whole package needs updating. But in general we really like this hotel and would choose to stay there again.Отзыв реального пользователя Expedia

Standard hotel room, on the nicer side. located back from the parkway so the property has a relaxing feel. There is a mysterious empty lot next door which we used for running the kids around. We spotted some outdoor seating near the pool. There is a sneaky back way to a diner located between the Hotel and the parkway, and a gas station and shopping […] center very close by. "Couldn't ask for more."

"Very comfortable for business travelers"
I was on Long Island for business and stayed here for one night. It was easy to get to, close to main roads, and very accommodating. The room was very comfortable, and I had a hard time thinking of a service that they didn't have! Pool, fitness center, and a wonderful breakfast included. "Business Traveler"
I was ill during a portion of my stay. The staff was considerate and offered to help in any way they could. "Relaxing Weekend"

My wife and I came up for a funeral for a dear friend. Th Location was excellent (the viewing and service was on Commack Road. The room was very clean, the hotel was in excellent condition, the continental breakfast was excellent and the coffee bar was just what we needed. "fine hotel, met our needs"
Everything was just fine. We were attending a funeral. Only possible change would be to add an additonal chair to the room. Only chair was the professional style desk chair.
