The entry, lobby and pool areas are exceptional - new, beautiful and welcoming. The room had everything we needed. One area that needs updating is the hallways to the rooms - old, musty-smelling, doesn't fit with the decor and excellence of the rest of the experience.

First room had dirty linens. They gladly moved us. The next room had leaky plumbing under the sink and a slow draining sink. I called the front desk but told them that it was too late to send somebody up. When checking out I reminded them of the problems we had and the guy at the front desk asked me what I wanted them to do about it? I said you should […] send somebody up to fix it. Then I waited for him to offer to discount our stay or something but he just stared at me and so I walked away. Rooms were fine but not not much 4 star past the lobby. Rooms were pretty loud as well. could not get us in early,we had to leave early the next day,other guest woke us up do the transformer issue>not worth $337.00!

The staff @ FireSky is top notch and the food from Taggia is wonderful. The hotel managers Dehn and Clayton were extremely helpful as well as the event coordinator, Jaclyn. Trust me, you will not be disappointed when staying here. Especially if you have pets as they are welcome here as well!

Cozy outdoor seating areas with fire pits. Close walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale. KIng bed should have been replaced ages ago as the mattress was worn out and uncomfortable. Had breakfast at restaurant and hot breakfast was served cold.

The hotel is dated in some respects, although noted improvements have been made to the rooms themselves. Work on the exterior and hallways is still needed. My wife and I stayed at FireSky for 5 days/nights in mid-January 2013. Although the hotel/resort is somewhat dated, we very much enjoyed our stay. I have stayed at this spot a few times and it has all the right stuff. A very nice staff. Nice room. Beautiful pool area. They do not nickel and dime you do death. There is no insulting resort fee. They do not charge for you to park your own car. Highly recommended.

The Firesky is in a great location, the staff are very helpful and the dog-friendly attitude means there are always pooches around (if one is missing the canine companion back home). Free wine-tasting 5-6 pm.

There was a strange sewer-like smell each time I entered the room that seemed to dissipate once in the room a while. I did not report it, as I did not think there was anything they could do other than air freshener, which might have introduced a new, stronger smell I did not want. We had a massage at their spa and it was amazing. The restaurant had great food and very reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My family and I were here for a few days to go to a NBA game. I wouldn't say this was a hotel for children as it had more of spa like qualities, though our children had a great time. The rooms were clean but the spa luxuries were grossly overpriced.

Not impressed at all expected more for what we paid. Room was not impressive, bed sucked. Your right next to a busy street. While the grounds are nice the room isn't worth the price.

Kimpton Hotels always win with service - the staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby, lounge/restaurant and pool areas are aesthetically pleasing, enjoyable environments. All rooms have a patio or balcony, but note the interior rooms face the pretty pool/garden area while the exterior rooms face the parking lot. Our room itself was nice but […] the bathroom was really small - like NYC hotel bathroom small - conversely, we had a huge walk-in closet (wasted space, really). I don't think it was a typical room format as we walked by other rooms when housekeeping was cleaning and those bathrooms looked bigger. Our only real complaints are that the bed wasn't comfortable despite its (king) size, and the walls are very thin - we knew exactly what TV shows our neighbor was watching each night. We would go back - it's the perfect place to lounge around a pool all day and the food was pretty good as well. Great location + they have a shuttle service to get you to shopping and restaurants. We were celebrating our anniversary. The room was very nice, although we would have appreciated a coffee-maker in the room. (Coffee is available in the lobby in the morning, and you can buy breakfast in the restaurant.) The lobby was attractive and the front desk friendly. Got there after it rained, came out to the pool, there was debris from the overhead trees all over the chairs and next to the pool. The experience […] that left the worst taste in my mouth was their wifi policy. First off when I attempted to log in on my ipad from the room, it stated that there is a 10$ cost per day to access it. I was marginally disappointed but proceeded. Later I needed to log in from my work computer. When i went to access the wifi, I was presented with the same payment page. I called the front desk and he stated that yes, I would need to pay 10$/day --PER EACH DEVICE. In my opinion that is a nickel and dime approach and felt and though I was getting squeezed. This is a beautiful facility ! The staff genuinely welcomed me when I arrive rather late. My ONLY, and I mean only, complaint is that the airconditioning is very loud. Even on low. So if you are a light sleeper, this might be a problem. Other than that, it gets an A+.

NOTE: if you are considering this resort, you should know that even though the patio room lists courtyard, garden, or pool view, you are not guaranteed that. Our initial room was a patio w/king, however we faced a giant wall and overlooked the service entrance to the restaurant. After a lot of back & forth with the front desk staff, we met with the […] front desk manager who moved us to a room with a view...although it had 2 queens and was a bit uncomfortable for us since we're used to our king bed at home. The manager at first was a little unwilling to make any concessions for us, but after I showed him specifically how the room was described he did take measures to make things as right as he could for us. Certainly did appreciate that. After I called hotels.com to advise them of the situation (and had to ask to speak to a manager), they also did take steps to make good on our reservation. The room was clean, the decor seemed a little dark and dated, the beds were just OK for comfort. Our 1st bathroom was tiny, but the second room was much bigger, and the bathroom sink was separate from the toilet and shower--which we liked. Aveda toiletries were not present even though they were on the list of amenities. Ample closet space, the patios were large and private. The pool was wonderful, although the sandy beach wasn't really sand--more like gravel. Taggia has excellent food. We would've rated it higher if our expectations were met. Подробнее

I was there on a Monday which was nice because of the quiet atmosphere. The grounds were very nice and kept well. It's a pet friendly resort, but it was not noticable. The rooms are very quiet. It was so relaxing to get away from the hustle and busy life style.

There was definitely a resort feeling at the hotel. Nice pools and the fitness room was adequate. We were not able to enjoy the grounds at night because of the rain, so did not experience the fire pits.

I stayed in this hotel 4 times in the last 2 months, every room was clean and nothing out of place. The pool and the staff were excellent and took care of my vegan needs fairly well. The price was excellent.

I wanted to have a littel stay-cation with my five-year-old at a local resort. They had pretty good reviews and advertised "Kimpton Kids" for children. When I checked in the front desk staff had no idea what I was talking about and gave me a bucket and shovel to use for the pool. Great spot, however the room was very noisy in the am. Due to old door not fitting well and the maids deciding to have a very loud discussion at 9:00 am outside our door despite the "do not disturb" hanger. Pool was a lot of fun and great service out there!

I really enjoyed the environment! We requested a room near the pool, my issue was that we couldn't leave the patio door open because the pool pumps were quite noisy. Overall we had a wonderful experience on our stay-cation. We went as a surprise for my fiance and he was very happy.
