Что создает картину отеля в моем представлении - это персонал. Было очевидно, что сотрудники в отеле "Holiday Inn" на побережье не были счастливы на своей работе. Они буквально все делали автоматически, и вам бы повезло, если бы они вам улыбнулись. И так было, начиная от сотрудников за стойкой, до консьержа. Номер в отеле был грязным: черные отпечатки пальцев на дверях, следы от варенья, волосы в водостоке - все это было когда мы приехали, и ковер был ГРЯЗНЫЙ! Не было ни вентиляции в потолке в туалете, ни минихолодильника или ведра со льдом, где можно было бы хранить что-либо в холоде. Мы заранее все оплатили, так что мы застряли здесь. Мы никогда не остановимся […] здесь снова, и по нашему мнению, отель "Holiday Inn" значительно снизил свой уровень, что можно сказать, основываясь на этом недавнем опыте. Что и следовало бы исключить, так это высокую плату, снимаемую ежедневно за парковку (без парковщика, просто обычная парковка). Пытался заказать еду из ресторана в отеле, и они забыли одно из блюд. В сети отелей "Holiday Inn" есть несколько хороших отелей... Но это не один из них. Застрял в 80х. В нашем номере прорвало водопровод, и мы, и вся парковка смотрели прямо в наш номер на третьем этаже. Самой большой проблемой у меня было резервирование. Номер был забронирован с включенным полным завтраком на двоих. Когда мы зарегистрировались, нам дали […] ваучер, который можно было использовать вдвоем, но на такую сумму, которая с трудом покрывала расходы на одного человека в ресторане и еще меньше, если заказывать в номер. К сожалению мы бронировали в последнюю минуту, так что цена была намного выше, чем когда мы были SD за две недели, останавливаясь в хороших отелях. Подробнее

Персонал отеля был очень приветливым и любезным. Место было удобно расположено рядом с "Amtrak" и большинством достопримечательностей. Было бы хорошо иметь трансфер до "Sea World"/

30 минут прождал регистрацию в 3:00, когда у стойки было всего двое человек.:( Номера были хорошими, но вид на залив был исключительным!! Мы бы остановились снова, только ради вида!

Наш номер с видом на залив был прямо над парковкой. Всю ночь мы слышали, как приезжающие люди разговаривали, смеялись и болтали без умолку. Мы посмотрели через стеклянные двери, чтобы увидеть часть залива, но увидели верхнюю часть парковки и национальные флаги! В отеле ремонтировался лифт, расположенный прямо за стеной, где стояли наши кровати. Громкий […] скрипучий звук появился в три часа ночи и на следующий день в пять утра. Было трудно отдохнуть. Когда вы бронируете номер, спрашивайте: 1.номер далеко от лифта 2. самый высокий этаж 3. номер, с оплаченным видом на залив, чтобы быть уверенным, что вы сможете насладиться заливом 4. на всякий случай спрашиваете , проходит ли какой-либо ремонт, и просите разместить в номер вдали от него! Сотрудники за стойкой регистрации действительно вычли обслуживание нашего номера, но я бы, пожалуй, лучше бы поспал! Отель сам по себе хороший, чистый и персонал был хорошим. Отель расположен напротив залива, очень близко к Maritime Museum, SeaPort Village, и Gaslamp Quarter. Персонал очень приветливый и любезный. Я определенно остановлюсь в этом отеле снова.

The hotel is the old Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean. We stayed in the south tower. Was not easy finding the elevators. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh. I hope with the name Wyndham, they do major remodeling. The view was beautiful, looking at the USS Midway and the other ships. I would stay here again in a pinch like we did this time.

The bathroom door was a frosted glass sliding door. Every "noise" could be heard and when you were getting in and out of the shower your silhouette is visible. I was sharing the room with a non family member and it was embarrassing. We felt we had to go down and use the lobby bathroom for "serious business". The hotel wanted to charge extra for everything like getting a fridge in our room, yet our other friends room came with one without them paying extra. You have to pay a lot every day for parking and the stalls were so narrow I couldn't park my SUV without folding in my mirrors and having everyone get out before I parked. I know other reviews complain about the trains/planes, but just turn the A/C fan on, get a room on an upper floor facing the bay, and you still get a good night's sleep at a hotel that has an excellent location, especially considering that the few areas they are not close to are easily reachable by using their free shuttle service (including pick-up/drop-off […] at the airport). The location was perfect for my weekend getaway with a nice view to add to it. Very close to the airport. You can see and hear the planes coming in, but you do get a nice view of the bay. I was only disappointed that there was no Jacuzzi, and that I had to pay $24 to park overnight in the garage. Other than that this place was nice.

The hotel is conveniently located to several attractions and all within walking distance: Little Italy, USS Midway (museum), Gaslamp District, Starbucks. I understand the Wyndham has recently taken over the former Holiday Inn hotel and this may explain the few glitches: we requested an iron early one morning to attend a business meeting and the staff had not showed up 30 minutes later (off to meeting with wrinkled shirt). We requested an iron, again, with two wine glasses later the same day from one of the front desk clerk- again, it never came and we had to make a second request. An hour later, Housekeeping staff showed up with an iron only and no wine glasses. Inter-hotel communication seems poor if non existent. Breakfast amenities - a small counter near the lobby - is abysmal in its selection. Room service for breakfast (limited menu) is available but overpriced. We inquired about a fridge in our room to keep breakfast items and it was $10/day. Outrageous considering the hotel provides no decent breakfast service: the fridge should be free of charge. Might not be optimum for families with children. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and would book a room again at this hotel. Подробнее

Well first thing our key didnt work, had to wait for someone to let us in. The beds are very hard little pillows and not enough blankets then to find we were double charged by hotels. Com snd then Wyndham that took time out our day to get resolved. Other than that the view was pretty but I won't stay again

this Wyndham San Diego Bayside is a new wyndham location but NOT a new hotel. if i am not mistaken this used to be a holliday inn hotel a years ago. I was quite happy with my recent stay at the Wyndham. First off, I must say that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The building seems a bit dated but fairly well maintained. The outside of the hotel looks a little shabby but our room on the 14th floor overlooking downtown was just great. We loved sitting out on the balcony. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. We asked the front desk for extra towels and a sewing kit and they were brought to our room within 10 minutes. The location is the best. Great hotel, wonderful service. Parking is decent if in early for the night. Only downfall is construction going on next to hotel, looks to be completed in the next month. If you are not sleeping in past about 8 should not be an issue. Great pool, great room, great location and nice price!

This hotel is in walking distance to everything In downtown and is mins away from the ferry to Coronado. It also has a free zoo shuttle, which made for a great day!

ARRIVE AND CHECK IN TO THE HOTEL. WALK IN TO MY ROOM BATHROOM AND THERE WAS WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR. IT APPEAR LIKE THE WATER WAS COMMING FROM THE WALL OR FROM THE ROOM NEXT TO. COMMENTED TO THE FROM DESK, BUT I DID NOT SEE ANYONE COME BY TO CHECK IT OUT. AT TIME OF CHECK OUT MADE THE COMMENT TO THE FRONT DESK.

If it weren't for my sleeping pills the fog horn that went off from 1am-2am each night and the very very thin walls would have kept me up. The hotel has a beautiful ocean view, a pretty decent restaurant attached and a yummy deli next door. I would go back only if I brought more sleeping pills and ear plugs. Overall, it was a nice hotel. The rooms weren't very clean and our bathroom smelled like urine. There's so an unseen cost of parking in the hotel parking lot that is 22$ a day, which was very disappointing. The overall friendliness of the staff was somewhat disappointing, as well.

The beds were very uncomfortable, the air conditioning didn't cool the room, it was alot of outside noise, and the whole room had a feeling of shabbiness. We stayed for an event and when we tried to straighten out a problem with parking billing, no one even tried to be helpful. Between the area construction and cruise ship events, traffic is a nightmare. […] Best choice is to self park off the Pacific Highway side (the walk to the room from self parking and valet is just about the same anyway, although you will only save $2.00). Very disappointing for $170 a night (the same room others were charged $110 for). We will not stay at this property again. Location and the happy hour food at the bar are the only good things. THE SERVICE WAS FATAL: I HAD TO LET THE DISABLED PHONE RING FOR […] 5-MINUTES UNTIL SOMEONE AT THE FRONT DESK ANSWERED; THE COKE MACHINE IN THE HALL WHICH CHARGES 2 DLRS A DRINK THREATENED TO ROB THE MONEY I PUT INTO IT; WE WERE TWO ADULTS AND THREE SMALL CHILDREN AND DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TOWELS WHICH HAD TO BE REQUESTED TWICE. YOU CHARGED OUTRAGEIOUSLY FOR ROOM SERVICE WHICH WAS 3-QUEZADILLAS AND TWO FRUIT DISHES; I GOT BETTER SERVICE AT THE LOCAL PIZZA PLACE FOR 12% OF WHAT YOU GUYS CHARGED FOR GREASIER FOOD. THE COST OF THE ROOM, FOR THE SIZE AND LOOK OF THE ROOM WHICH WAS NOT INSULATED FROM THE COLD SEA AIR ACCROSS THE STREET WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE PAID. SOMEONE IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB OF INSPECTING WHAT THINGS NEED TO BE CHANGED AND UPGRADED--ESPECIALLY IF YOU TOUT YOURSELVES AS A RESORT, ON THE BAY "BAYSIDE" HOTEL. SUB-PAR SERVICE AND TOO EXPENSIVE: THIS HOTEL AND ITS MANAGMENT IS MORE THE QUALITY OF A MOTEL 6 BUT WITHOUT THE HONOR OF BEING ECONOMICAL. hotel is just ok-rooms need updating. The first room they put us in was not made up. Bed was not made, room had a sour odor, and carpet was filthy with stains all over the floor. Nice view, great service and staff. But the grounds and the rooms need a little help, plus with all the city construction and street work, its pretty noisy and hard to get to and park. But still great trip for a great price, mahalos.

Though in decor the Wyndham Bayside shows it's Holiday Inn roots, it's a well-run hotel in a convenient location for those who want to explore San Diago's attractions. It's close to a trolly stop which will take you from Santee to San Isidro, and the hotel's courtesy vans not only take one to and from the airport but also down town and to the world […] famous San Diago zoo multiple times a day. It was lovely in the lobby and the gift shop had nice, high quality merchandie. The room was not as nice, the sliding glass door didn't shut completely and were falling off the tracks. The bathroom needed new floors and shower heads. The most annoying things were the foghorn that beeped EVERY seven seconds, and the faulty heating vent that made rattling […] sounds about ten minutes. When I complained to Zirvinia (sp?) at the front desk, she couldn't care less and never so much as said an apology for my lack of a decent night's sleep on my layover. Excellent location. Quite a bit of noise from other guests; St Patrick's weekend might of contibuted to the rowdy people? Not as nice as expected for a Wyndham location and a bit more expensive then you would think when you see the facilities. It used to be a Holiday Inn and it still has a lot of Holiday Inn decorations/identifications in the room.
