Overall, I was pleased with my stay at the Clarion in Marietta, GA. I booked through Expedia and after reading the reviews I was very concerned; however, was pleasantly rewarded for keeping an open mind. It appears that this hotel is in transition. The staff was vey welcoming and friendly. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was given one with […] a splendid view of the Atlanta skyline. My room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I found objectionable was the condition of the carpet. Althogh it was clean, a few spots had what appeared to be large cigarette burns on it although I was in a no-smoking room. I covered the spots with a towel and proceeded to enjoy my stay. I would recommend the hotel while sharing my experience about the carpet. For some, that might be offputting. We nade the choice while driving. Front desk was wonderful helpful. Gave us a wonderful 24hr diner for late night diner. Room was clean quiet did I say clean. Nice hotel breakfast.

Pretty decent hotel. I can't tell I was probably very nice back in its "hay Day." The bed was ok. However there were blood stains on the curtains and on the patio deck that still looked wet when I arrived to the room. Hotel felt big empty and stale. But mostly well kept.

the hotel is comfortable and quiet, but could use some improvements in the area of cleanliness, I stayed there for 5 days during which time neither the hall outside my room nor my room were vacuumed the light trashed remained in place the entire stay. The most exasperating part of the stay was each evening upon arriving at the room on the 8th floor […] I found my key would not work. We have not used Clarion before. The carpet in our room was filthy and stained. The rest of the room was nice making the carpet stand out. I would highly recommend this hotel except for the dirty carpet. Fortunately, my eyes were closed most of the time. The rate was too reasonable and we were too tired to complain.

Clarion took this hotel over. The restaurant / bar doesn't open at all. The rooms are dirty. The area isn't the greatest. The staff seems to be just hanging on. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere.

stay here in my way to Chicago from Florida, I dont understand how this hotel is listed with 3.5 star... out of 3 elevators just one were on service, so it took me almost 30 minutes to get to my room.. My son and I attended a baseball tournament and decided to change hotels to be closer to friends. This was apparently a very busy week in the Atlanta area so we chose to book through Hotels.com and were pleased with the service we received with Hotels employees. The hotel was massive...9 or 10 floors. 5 cars in parking lot. Didn't make sense. The burglar bar was broken off the door (I reported it and it was not repaired), the rug was badly stained with either vomit or a bright colored substance, the air conditioning didn't work well (lowest it would get to was about 85),the bathroom was moldy smelling perhaps because no fan was in the small room, and lastly there was no refrigerator in the room nor laundry in the hotel. There is no sign to identify the hotel, It is not listed on the gps as a Clarion Hotel in Marietta. It was difficult to enter the hotel because there were 2 large uhaul trucks and a lot of people loitering in front of the hotel. There were no bell caps. There was no concierge. The personnel seemed very distracted. There were complaints of the staff […] to each other in front of patrons. There was no remote for the tv in the room. There was a problem with the toilet flushing. When I asked why there was no sign I was told they are changing management companies and were having trouble getting a sign, a very strange explanation. I was not informed of any pool or exercise facilities and there was no directory of hotel services in the room. I asked if there was a restaurant, one person said there was not, another said there was. There are serious customer service issues here. I had friends who are native to marietta pick me up for dinner and they had trouble finding the hotel. There also insisted on walking me to my room as there was a very unsafe feel to the facility. . The hotel was nothing like described on expedia's website. They did not have a lounge area or a restaurant. Inadequate staffing and very disappointing rooms that had beds that sunk in the middle and a tv that only had five channels. Keeping the room at a comfortable temperature was a mute isssue. After this was brought to the attention of staff they informed us there was nothing they could do, but they could let us a room fan so we elected to take it as it was our only option. Carpets were stained and looked very dirty. Pillows were not comfortable. Coffee pot was dusty. There was no sign at the street or in the lobby to let you know you were in the right place.

Do not use this hotel. It was a lousy service with an amateurish employees. The worst was when we were not allowed to use the sitting group in reception for a short meeting since they had available meeting rooms to $100 per hour! The hotel was almost empty for guests.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is in a bad part of town. They also have a bar/club that opens at 10pm and when it lets out at 4am the chaos begins. Everyone is rude and loud. Someone ran down the hall at 2am banging on all the doors and waking everyone up on our floor. No one who stays here has any respect for other patrons. Im surprised our car didn't […] get broken into either. It's not worth it - pay some more money and find a different place! Oh, and the rooms were not that great either. I guess I should have researched this hotel a little better. First of all, they claim to be a 3.5 Star hotel, but I would totally disagree. Sure the lobby looks nice, but the T.V.'s were ancient, it took 5 minutes to get hot water, and there was no mini fridge. The worst part is that on Saturday nights they have a night club with LOUD music from 10pm […] until 3am. We were on the 6th floor and I could hear and feel the bass. A little warning would have been great. When I called the front desk to ask about the disturbance, he told me "I don't know how to answer your question. You can contact management on Monday if you'd like." Seriously?!?! I had driven 17 hours straight and wanted a peaceful nights sleep. My advice, find somewhere else to stay. Подробнее

The hotel had no signage, was reportedly "being renovated" and "under new management." I had to walk into the hotel to ask if this was the Clarion. We were given a room card with no sleeve for it and the room number written (at my request) on it in a flair pen which immediately rubbed off. There were no towels in the room we were first given and the […] TV did not work. We were moved to another room which was okay... at least it had towels. There were almost no other guests in the hotel which made it seem creepy. Somebody had been planning to meet us for breakfast but we chose instead to go for to a local dinner rather than to have the continental breakfast that was maybe going to be served. We didn't even look for it. The fitness room had three machines, one out of order, and no water in the water cooler. I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. Подробнее

this hotel is under renovation, the continental breakfast was terrible! the coffee was cold and my coffee mug has lipstick on it. The fruit was old, and no kept it clean through breakfast hours.

Expedia's rating of 3.5 stars is generous and misleading to say the least! This is an old hotel in a rough area. Ice maker on the floor my room was on was out of order. Lots of water stains on walls. No soap in bathroom upon my arrival and a partially used orange juice bottle from a previous guest was in the refrigerator!

The hotel itself is a beautiful hotel. My issue was, you can't find it!! I rode around for over 30 min looking for the hotel. There are doing construction on the main street so the actual street sign is so small you can barely see it. Once you turn and drive down this road you come to the hotel but you don't know it's a hotel because there is no sign! […] It looks like a office building from the outside. When I was lost I tried calling the hotel 4 times and no one answered. When I finally pull up and see someone standing outside I ask them if I'm at the right place and he said yes and goes back to talking to someone parked outside. Come to find out, he was the front desk clerk! The hotel is beautiful and it was very clean. I felt okay staying in this Clarion Hotel, despite of its confused management. For example, I had to slide my card key about 10 to 15 times each time trying to open the door. I reported this to staff only to find out that they can not do any thing about this and few other similar services.

Hotel is changing from one hotel brand to another. Everything is in transition. Hotel was a functional mess. Things are not working. Gym is being updated. Room keys did not work, Lounge was closed...Very strange experience, despite the hotel staff being great and doing everything possible to make the experience a good one.
